This policy covers the SHDC MCP connector operated by Softhills Co., Ltd. at
ai.softhills.net/mcp. The connector provides read-only search over Softhills
product documentation, which is already published publicly at
docs.softhills.net.
The connector requires no account and no sign-in. It never reads your Claude conversation, chat history, memory, or uploaded files. It only receives the arguments your client sends with each tool call.
What we collect
Each tool call is recorded. There are two kinds of data.

We do not collect conversation content, prompts, files, or any data from your Claude account. The MCP protocol does not transmit these to a connector, and we do not request them.
How we use it
- Improving answer quality. Queries that return no result, or where the relevant document ranked poorly, indicate documentation gaps or search problems.
- Operating the service. Error rates, response times, and traffic patterns.
- Preventing abuse. Rate limiting is applied per IP address.
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions about individuals, and we do not sell it.
Where it is stored
Records are written first to the server that handled the request, then transferred to internal systems hosted on Microsoft Azure. Data is stored in Azure SQL Database in the Japan West region, encrypted in transit and at rest.
Access is limited to Softhills personnel who operate the service and maintain the documentation.
Retention
Records are retained for one year from the date of the request, then deleted automatically. Deletion removes the request record and the associated result list together.
Sharing
We do not share this data with third parties. It is not sold, rented, or disclosed for marketing.
Microsoft Azure acts as our infrastructure provider and processes data only to host the service. We may disclose data if required by law.
Your choices
- Stop being recorded. Disconnect the connector from your MCP client. No further records are created.
- Request deletion. Contact us with the approximate time and IP address of the requests, and we will delete the matching records.
- Ask what we hold. Contact us and we will tell you what is stored for a given IP address or session.
Because the connector has no accounts, we can only locate records by IP address, session identifier, or time range. We will ask for enough detail to find them without collecting anything new about you.
Children
This connector is a tool for software developers using Softhills products. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page is updated. Material changes to what we collect or how long we keep it will be noted on this page.
